The senior class is selling cookbooks to raise money for their class trip.  If you are interested, contact any member of the senior class, or call Kim Gonzalez at 765-7975 or 457-9177.  The cookbooks are $15 and are full of delicious recipes—perfect to test out for Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday parties!

There will be a Christmas Party fundraiser (adults only) on Friday, December 19^th at the Rooftop Garden from 7 p.m. to midnight.  The cost is $25 and includes dinner, a drink (plus cash bar) and entertainment.  There will also be some auction/raffle items—it’s a great way to kick off your holiday festivities.  If you are interested in volunteering your time and/or services for this event, contact Jylynn Villarreal at jylynnvillarreal@yahoo.com or at 409-939-7826, and let her know how you would like to help out.  Be sure to spread the word to family and friends about this event. The more, the merrier!

Bucco Belles are still taking pre-orders for gingerbread and/or sugar cookies--$10 per dozen.  E-mail me to place your order by December 5^th.

Space is still available for Treasure Ball participants—let us know if you are interested, and we will get you in contact with Joan Gondesen.  Remember, this year’s pageant and ball will be held the first weekend in April.  The contest begins January 7^th!

If you haven’t already received your fundraising packet, please let me know.  Each family is being asked to send out 5 letters to friends/family asking for donations for the school.  To date, we have received about $40,000 in donations!  We’re well on our way, but still have a long way to go.  We need each family to do their part by sending out these letters and helping O’Connell.

Next Tuesday, December 2^nd, our basketball teams will face Clear Lake Christian (at Moody Memorial gym) at 6:30 (girls) and 8:00 (boys). Come out and support the Bucs and Lady Bucs!  Guardian Angel parents are still needed to work the gate at all boys’ home games, so let me know if you are available. 

I hope all of you have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday.  Even with everything that is going on right now, we have so much to be thankful for—a wonderful student body, great parents and outstanding faculty and staff.  When giving thanks for your families, give thanks for your O’Connell family as well!
